All Things Teaching Edition.
”I never teach my pupils, I only provide the conditions in which they can learn.”
Albert Einstein
Throughout my time in education, one of the most frustrating things I have had to do is reinvent the wheel; because the blueprints for said wheel where not avaliable for download. In the spirit of sharing is caring, below is a selection of the lessons, revision sessions, schemes and random resources I have created over the years – free to download!

KS3: The Tempest (Part SOL)
This is the first part of a Shakespeare’s The Tempest SOL, covering Act One and Act Two. Focused on improving inference skills and providing opportunities for oracy.
KS3: The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas
After picking this up as a little personal-professional project, here is the revamp of my 2015 BISP SOL – a scheme I originally created when I was training to become a teacher.
Single/Grouped Lessons
KS3: War and Conflict
(Grouped Lessons)
A set of three lessons used as part of a wider SOL. They followed on from a conversation whereby students asked for something they could ‘connect’ with – they selected the songs we then analysed.
KS3: Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time
(Grouped Lessons)
A set of four lessons used as part of the Faster Reading Programme – whereby students read for four lessons followed by a mastery lesson.
KS4: Thoughts & Feelings in Music
(Single Lesson)
In an attempt help students switch from ‘commenting on’ to ‘analysing’, I thought I’d take a different approach to this question. Help them connect with the content and see passed the words to their meaning.
